Christine Weems Crowden, 83, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, March 2, 2013, at her home in Phil Campbell, Ala. She was born in Colbert County on April 12, 1929, to the late Percy and Bertha Weems, but lived most of her life in Franklin County, Ala.
She is survived by her children, Carolyn Weems Pratt, Annette Saint, Candy Crowden, Scott Crowden, and Tony Crowden; sisters, Helen Brown, Dean Raney, and Sandra Wood; nine grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and very special friend, Buice Swinney.
She was preceded in death by granddaughter, Jody Pratt, brother, Willard Weems, sisters, Elizabeth Posey, Jo Anne Coan, and Joyce Beaver, and halfbrother, William Weems.
Pallbearers will be grandsons and some very special friends.
Visitation will be Monday, March 4, 2013, from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m., at Morrison Funeral Home, Tuscumbia. Funeral services will be Tuesday, March 5, at 2 p.m., in the funeral home chapel. Burial will follow in Donald Cemetery, Town Creek. Morrison Funeral Home, Tuscumbia, is directing.
