Remembrances from her husband, Earl Webster, to his grand niece, Peggy Buchanan, in 1982: "Ada graduated from St. Joseph Hospital as a Registered Nurse and worked there. They asked her to go to Seattle and teach there. On her off hours at St. Joseph Hospital, she would walk down to the Temple Theatre and listen to the pipe organ music.

Ada met Earl at the hospital; she gave him an anesthetic for his elbow. He was 22 years old when they got married; Ada was seven years older than Earl.

Ada made the best moist chocolate cake. She also made argyle socks, and you didn't need to wear garters with them; they would stand up by themselves; Ada also made bridesmaid and wedding gowns."

"Her parents, Abel and Nellie, had a Norwegian last name and changed it to Johnson after they came to the United States from Norway."
