Born Jan. 25, 1927, in Nashville, Tenn., she was the daughter of the late Henry and Bessie Horton Watson.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Carl G. (Whitey) Allen; three sons, Charles, Jeffery and Steve Allen; a daughter, Laura K. Allen; and two brothers, Reas and H.G. Watson.
Survivors include four sons, Wayne, Ronnie and Timmy Allen, all of Corydon, and Glenn Allen of English; a daughter, Debbie Ford of New Albany; 19 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.
Visitation: Friday, Oct. 16, from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Saturday, Oct. 17, after 9 a.m. at Beanblossom-Cesar Funeral Home in Corydon.
Funeral: Saturday, Oct. 17, at 2 p.m. at the funeral home with burial in Lanesville Protestant Cemetery.
Officiant: Pastor Edith Bleecker.
Pallbearers: Charles, Eddie, Leon, T.J., Mike and Josh Allen and Max Eastridge.
Honorary pallbearers: Danny Walthers and Jimmy Hedges.
