Jeanette Watson Farthing, age 82, of Victor Farthing Road, Banner Elk, died March 3, 2017 at Life Care Center of Banner Elk. She was born August 7, 1934.
She is survived by her sons, Rodney Farthing and wife, Julie and Steve Farthing, all of Banner Elk; sister, Ruth Greene and husband Buddy, of Banner Elk; brothers, Ronda Watson and wife, Cathy, of Boone, and Howard Watson, of Mt. Airy; two grandchildren, Brandon and Kaitlyn Farthing and two step-grandchildren, Rachel Jones and Jessie Russ.
She was preceded in death by her parents, John Spencer Watson and Mamie Edna Wallace Watson; her husband, Richard Lyle Farthing; brothers, Finley Watson, Louis Watson, Leonard Watson, Harry Watson, and Gurney Watson; and sisters, Pauline Seatz and Lula Fay Branch.
Services were private with burial at Mountlawn Memorial Park and Gardens.
