LaShawn Darnise Scott, Kokomo, 44, passed away Tuesday, June 18, 2013, in St. Joseph Hospital. LaShawn Darnise Warwick Scott was born Jan. 15, 1969, to Calvin and Mona Warwick Sr.

A graduate of Indiana Wesleyan University bachelor of arts program, she received an MBA from Salem International University, graduating magna cum laude. LaShawn was employed by Wellpoint as a human resources manager for over six years. LaShawn proudly served as an ambassador for Susan Komen Breast Cancer Awareness.

She is survived by her husband, Nathaniel Scott Jr.; son, S. J.J. Moultrie, Kokomo; daughter, RoShawnda C. Moultrie, Kokomo; stepdaughter, Shantasia N. Scott, Hampton, Va.; father, Calvin Dudley Warwick Sr. (Yvonne), Kokomo; brothers, Calvin Dudley Warwick Jr., Orlando, Fla., Terris L. Warwick, Kokomo, Vaughn R. Warwick, Kokomo, and Michael D. Fitts, Kokomo; sisters, Schwana M. Warwick, Fonda L. Warwick, and Ebony M. Fitts, Kokomo.

Services will be at noon Saturday in Mount Pisgah Missionary Baptist Church, with Pastor Lonnie Anderson is officiant and eulogist. Viewing will be 10 a.m. to noon at the church. Interment will be in Crown Point Cemetery.

Arrangements were entrusted to Bluitt and Son Funeral Home.
