Arnold Cleo Warren, 74, of Cameron, died Jan. 18, 2010. A private family burial is planned at Oak Hill Cemetery in Lyons.

Mr. Warren was born Aug. 28, 1935, in Maysfield to L. T. and Lucille Miller Warren.

He graduated from Yoe High School in 1954, where he excelled in athletics as the football team's quarterback. He served his country in the U.S. Navy until 1962. In the Navy, Arnold became an accomplished boxer, while traveling to ports in Japan, Hawaii, San Diego and Washington State. After leaving the Navy, he worked with his father to construct the Waco and Somerville Dams. He ended his working career as a valued employee of Alcoa in Rockdale for nearly 30 years. He loved animals and spending time in the great outdoors fishing with family members.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Vickie, of 44 years, and his parents.

Survivors are daughter, Hope, and her husband, Kevin, of Temple; son Michael Clark Warren of Cameron; and sister, Shirley Marlatt, of Corpus Christi.
