Glenda Faye Ward Howington of Walthall, MS, Southaven MS and Memphis, died June 20 at the age of 86 after a long illness. She was predeceased by her husband and best friend of 58 years, L.A. Howington, Jr. She was a retired teacher with the Memphis City Board of Education and taught in the Vocational Education Program. She, along with her husband, enjoyed fishing, gardening, and travel. She leaves a daughter, Jo-Ellen Howington Reed (Walt), a grandson, Joel Collin Roberts (Carrie), and 2 great-grandchildren, Collin and Hana Roberts. The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Sunday, June 22 at Forest Hill South with funeral service Monday at 10 a.m. Burial will follow in Forest Hill South Cemetery.
