Flo Easterling Wampler, 87, formerly of Valley Creek went to be with the Lord on Monday morning (June 20, 2011) at the Wexford House in Kingsport, TN. She lived the majority of her life in Scott County, Virginia until the past six years having resided with her son in Rock Springs. Flo was a member of Addington Frame Church for many years. She was a loving homemaker. Mrs. Wampler loved to raise tobacco and was a very hard worker on the farm. She was preceded in death by her husband, J. B. Wampler; her parents, Leonard and Harriet McConnell Easterling; brothers, Fred Easterling, Joe Easterling, Charles Easterling; sisters, Delsie Vicars and Reba Easterling.

FLo Wampler is survived by her son, Jimmy Wampler and wife, Jackie (Kingsport, TN); grandchildren, Tammy Anderson and Jess Wampler; a great granddaughter, Brittany Lane; several great-great grandchildren; her brother, C. L. Easterling and wife, Betty (Nickelsville, VA); her special friend, Sandra Jean Stallard (Gate City, VA) along with several nieces and nephews.

Calling hours will be held on Wednesday (June 22, 2011) from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Scott County Funeral Home. A funeral service will be conducted on Wednesday (June 22, 2011) at 1 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Paul Blessing officiating. A graveside service will follow the funeral at Addington Frame Church Cemetery with family and friends serving as pallbearers. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimers Association, Northeast Tennessee Chapter, 207 N. Boone Street, Suite 1500, Johnson City, TN 37604. Carter-Trent/Scott County Funeral Home is serving the Wampler family.
