Hildegard G. "Wamby" Nelson, 69, passed away at her residence in Steamboat Springs on Tuesday, Nov. 29, 1983.
Services were held at Concordia Lutheran Church at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Dec. 3.
Interment was in the Steamboat Springs cemetery.
Born in Ft. Wayne, Ind. on Nov. 17, 1914, she was the daughter of Fred and Mary Rodenbeck Wambsganss.
She married Paul Nelson in Ft. Wayne on Oct. 25, 1941.
She came with her husband to Steamboat Springs in 1941 when he purchased the Ben Franklin store.
She did some volunteer work at the Routt Memorial Hospital, using her training as a registered nurse.
She has three sons, three sisters, and five grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband in 1975.
