Cleo Tillie Carter, 103 of Baytown, passed away on Saturday May 23, 2015. Cleo was born to the late Joe Walters and Sarah Parrish Walters in Kingsville Texas on August 8, 1911. Cleo is described as a loving mother, and devoted wife. She was a devoted Catholic and was faithful to the Blessed Mother Mary. Cleo was an avid painter and a natural seamstress. Cleo enjoyed her role in life as a wife and mother and enjoyed cooking for her family. She will be greatly missed by many.

Cleo is preceded in death by her parents, her husband of over 61 years, Johnny Carter, 2 brothers and 2 sisters.

Cleo is survived by her son, John Carter of Baytown; grandchildren, Lauren Carter, Matthew Carter, numerous nieces and nephews and many friends.

A gathering of family and friends will be held on Friday, May 29, 2015 from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m., with a Rosary to be recited at 6:00 p.m., at Crespo & Jirrels Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:00 a.m., Saturday, May 30, 2015 at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, 800 W. Baker road, Baytown, with Rev. Brinkman officiating.
