Shirley Marie Bradin, 83, of Huntington, IN, died Monday, Sept. 12, 2011, at 8:17 a.m. at Parkview Huntington Hospital.
Mrs. Bradin was a homemaker and was a member of SS. Peter and Paul Catholic Church. She graduated from Marion High School in 1947. She was a member of Girl Scouts of America, Child Conservation Club, Newcomers Club and the Canasta Club.
She was born May 14, 1928, in Marion to Carlos Edwin and Olive Lovelace Walston. She married John S. Bradin on Jan. 21, 1948, in Marion. Her husband survives.
Additional survivors include two sons, James (Rhonda) Bradin, of Garrett, and Joseph (Theresa) Bradin, of Huntington; four daughters, Nancy (Gary) Mickley and Julie (Giuseppe) Ceravolo, both of Huntington; Pamela "Susie" (Ricky) Smith, of Fort Wayne; and Deborah Tinsley, of Vallejo, CA; 15 grandchildren; and 30 great-grandchildren.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, Sept. 16, 2011, at 10 a.m., with calling one hour prior to the service, at SS. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, 860 Cherry St., Huntington. Rev. Ron Rieder will officiate. Burial will be at Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Huntington.
Preferred memorials are gifts to the John Bradin Trust Fund in care of McElhaney-Hart Funeral Home, 715 N. Jefferson St., Huntington, IN 46750.
