CUMBERLAND — Louise McMullen Walsh, 81, of Cumberland, passed away Monday, March 12, 2012, at Select Specialty Hospital in Johnstown, Pa.

Born on April 13, 1930, in Cumberland, she was the daughter of the late John J. McMullen Sr. and Louise (Gable) McMullen. She was also preceded in death by her husband, William Walsh Sr.

Mrs. Walsh was a 1948 graduate of Ursuline Academy. Louise was a member of SS Peter & Paul Shrine, Sacred Heart Hospital Auxiliary, where she served as past President, and member of Our Lady of the Mountains Parish.

Surviving are her three daughters, Betsy Geiger and husband Rich, of Cumberland, Weezie Feeney and husband Bill, of Cumberland, and Mimi Wehberg and husband Ron, of Monkton; two sons, William Walsh Jr., of Rockville, and James E. Walsh and wife Laurie, of Cumberland; nine grandchildren: Rebecca L. Geiger, of Cumberland, Tricia A. Geiger, student at University of Maryland, William R. Walsh, student at University of Maryland, Baltimore Co. Campus, Emily M. Walsh, at home, Sarah E. Feeney, student at University of Maryland, C. Claire Feeney, at home, and Jack Wehberg, Kate Wehburg, and Lily Wehburg, all at home, three brothers, Hugh A. McMullen and wife Lois, of Cumberland, John McMullen Jr. and wife Dolores, of Cumberland, and Daniel F. McMullen III and wife Valarie, of Annapolis; one sister, Mary Bailey and husband Bob, of Hilton Head, S.C.; one sister-in-law, Sister Betsy Walsh, Order of the Sacred Heart, San Diego, Calif.; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Friends will be received at the Scarpelli Funeral Home, P.A., 108 Virginia Ave., Cumberland, (www.scarpellifh. com) on Friday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. A Christian Wake will be conducted at 8:45 p.m.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in SS Peter & Paul Shrine on Saturday at 10 a.m.
