Funeral services for Mary Anne Mason, 72, of Palestine, will be held 1:00 PM Saturday at First United Methodist Church, with Rev Bruce Hay officiating. Burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Bailey & Foster. Mrs. Mason passed away Thursday, October 22, 2009 at her residence. She was born July 2, 1937 in Fastrill, Texas, to James Authur and Cora Gilbert Wallace. She was a retired commissary manager for TDCJ Michael Unit. Mrs. Mason was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her husband of 54 years, Melvin Mason of Palestine; sons, Bobby Mason and very special friend Inez Baker, and Bill Mason and wife Cindy; and seven grandchildren.
