In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Carolyn Walker Kirkland and Janice Walker. .
Mr. Walker worked for many years as an upholsterer for Bernhardt Furniture, and he proudly served his country in the National Guard. He was a fan of Nascar, enjoyed motorcycles, and had a Harley Davidson, he also was a big fan of Elvis Presley.
Those left to cherish his memory are his son, Larry Walker and wife Libby of Lenoir, two grandsons, Kyle Walker and wife Adrienne of Kernersville, Joel Walker and wife Sarah of Hudson, a great granddaughter, Aubrey Davis Walker and one more great grandchild is expected any day.
A graveside service will be held Thursday, July 7, 2016 at 2:00 pm at Blue Ridge Memorial Park in Lenoir with Reverend Ed Neal officiating.
Serving as pallbearers will be Kyle Walker, Joel Walker, Brad Leonhardt, Rick Wilson, Jonathan Duncan and Jim Arnett.
