U.S. Veteran

RIVERDALE - Frank was born May 28, 1913, the youngest of eight children to Daniel Henry Walker and Minnie Baird in Syracuse, Utah.

He died on August 18, 2010 of cause's incident to age at Manor Care in Ogden.

Frank was one of the kindest, most thoughtful and unassuming men you would ever meet. His sense of humor delighted everyone he met. Frank attended grade school in Syracuse and graduated from Davis High School where he was active in sports. He graduated from Weber Junior College where he lettered in football, basketball and baseball. He continued to be a huge sports fan and avidly followed the Utah Jazz. He married Marvella Dickson on August 30, 1941, and became a loving father to her daughters, Helen and Louise. In 1944 Frank was drafted into the U.S. Army and served in France and Germany during WW II. He was honorably discharged in 1946. Frank and Marvella had a very special relationship with his brother Myron, wife Olive and especially their son, Clair. Marvella passed away in 1956.

Frank married Agnes (Sal) Craner in 1973. After many happy years together, Sal passed away. Frank married Roma Frost on June 21, 1985. They resided in Riverdale until his death. Frank was a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Among his callings were the Ogden Temple Baptistery, Washington Terrace 2nd Ward Clerk and Home Teacher. Frank owned and operated Ellison Cleaners and after his retirement he enjoyed gardening, camping, fishing and travel.

Frank was preceded in death by his parents, seven siblings and two previous wives.

He is survived by his wife Roma, his daughters Helen (Harry) DeWall and Louise Goff, step-children James and Barbara Craner, Carolyn and Dennis Slater, Jack and Sally Frost, Jeffrey Frost, Julianne Frost and Jeanlee Frost Carver. He is also survived by 23 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren, and 24 great-great-grandchildren.
