Ronald J. Wadlow of Hamel, Illinois passed away on Sunday, May 1, 2011 at 4:47pm in Maryville, Illinois. Mr. Wadlow was born on July 30, 1934 in Granite City, Illinois a son of the late Paul M. & Pauline M. (Young) Wadlow. Mr. Wadlow worked for the U.S. Postal service as a clerk and retired in 1989 after 32 years of dedicated service, after his retirement he was a salesman for Lincoln-Mercury and retired in 2001. He was an avid golfer and enjoyed being a golf ranger for Oak Brook Golf Course in Edwardsville, Illinois; he was a Notre Dame Football fan; enjoyed boating and being outdoors. Mr. Wadlow had a great love for his family and is survived by his beloved wife Margaret A. (Jenkins) Wadlow; daughters Brenda & Gregg Williams of St. Louis, Missouri, Rondice & Jerry Houseman of Tunnel Hill, Illinois, Monica Anderson of Allen, Texas, Carman Wadlow of Staunton, Illinois, Beth & Tim Klusas of Glen Carbon, Illinois; brother William & Darlene Wadlow of Wentzville, Missouri; Grandchildren Jamie Herman, Jessica Craig, Jackie Warren, Nathan Warren, Heather Wadlow, Justine Anderson, Neil Anderson, Mae Klusas, Olivia Klusas & Audrey Klusas; nine great grandchildren & many extended family & friends.

Visitation: Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday, May 5, 2011, at Irwin Chapel, 591 Glen Crossing Road Glen Carbon, Ill.

Funeral: Services in celebration of his life will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, May 6, 2011, at the chapel with the Rev. John Gamblin officiating. Burial in Sunset Hill Memorial Estates in Glen Carbon, Ill.
