Frederick D. Wells, 72, of Reedsville, died unexpectedly Monday night at
Memorial Hospital in Manitowoc.
Masonic rites will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Reedsville Funeral Home.
The remains will be cremated.
Mr. Wells was born July 5, 1882, in Keokuk, Iowa. On Nov. 24, 1924, he married
the former Rose Vogel in Chicago. They moved to Reedsville in 1925, where he
was employed as a rural mail carrier on route one until his retirement in 1947.
Survivors include the wife; three sons, George of Port Angelus, Wash., Edward
of Decorah, Iowa, and Frederick Jr., of Milwaukee; two daughters, Mrs. Daniel
Martens and Mrs. Anton Poklinkoski of Manitowoc; one brother, Frank, of Chicago,
and seven grandchildren.
Friends may call at the funeral home from 2 p.m. Wednesday until the time of
service.
