Alicia Joy Vinzant Bell, 56, of Waco, passed away Feb. 27, 2009, at a Dallas hospital. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Wednesday, March 4, at Pecan Grove Funeral Home with the Rev. Mark Dallalio officiating. Burial will follow at Stanford Chapel Cemetery. The family will receive visitors 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, March 3, at the funeral home.
Alicia Joy was born in Groesbeck, Texas, to Burl C. and Dollie June Vinzant. Alicia had the uncommon ability to be the favorite of all her nieces and nephews. Her quick wit, humor and ability to make everyone laugh, qualities she received from her father, will long be remembered by her family and friends. She worked for Cargill International, formerly Plantation Foods, for 30 years, and made many friends while she was there. She was baptized as a young girl and continued to express her belief in God.
Alicia was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Bryan Keith Vinzant, of Waco; and a niece, Sarah Ruth Leigh Vinzant, of Waco.
She is survived by son, Robert William Bell and wife, Aalisha, of Waco; daughter, Sherilyn Lucille Bell, of Arlington; brothers, Michael Burl Vinzant and wife, Sandy, of Carrollton, and Daniel Wayne Vinzant, of Coppell; six nieces and nephews; and one great-nephew.
