Our beloved mother, Andrea Villa Barrios, 93, was received into the Kingdom of Heaven on March 13, 2011. Andrea, daughter of Antonio and Candelaria Villa, was born November 30, 1917 in Concepcion, Texas. The Villa family moved to Corpus Christi where she subsequently met and married Martin Barrios on July 12, 1949. Andrea was a loving and caring mother to her three children and a devoted wife to her husband.

Andrea is now at peace with all those that have gone before, in particular her son, Martin Barrios, Jr., her sister, Maria Luisa Flores and granddaughter, Francis Faith Cerda.

She is survived by her sister, Candelaria Acuna. She is also survived by her two children, Esther Medina, and Sylvia Hill. In addition she is survived by her grandchildren, Alexandra Medina, David Medina, Andrea Chapa, Lewis Hill and Gilbert Martin Cerda; her great-grandchildren, Marissa Medina, Diego Medina, Dylan Chapa ,Danica Chapa, Sean and Carlos Cerda.

The family will be receiving family and friends from 3:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. on Tuesday, March 15, 2011 at Funeraria Del Angel-Memorial Holly chapel with a rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. that same evening. Rites of a Christian burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, March 16, 2011 at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Rose Hill Memorial Park.
