Dorothy L. Viano , 79, of 110 W. Division died at 2:22 a.m. Wednesday, May 16, 2001, at Graham Hospital in Canton.
Born June 25, 1921, in Havana to Ross ''Frosty'' and Vivian Vaughn Curless, she married Dominic Viano on Oct. 9, 1940, in Canton. He survives.
Also surviving are one son, Nick (and Pee Wee) Viano of Canton; one daughter, Netia Viano of Norris; two grandchildren; one greatgrandchild; and two sisters, Mabel McMullen of Havana and Vivian (and Don) Morgan of Peoria.
She was preceded in death by one sister.
She had worked at the Five & Dime Store in Havana for several years and also taught tap dancing in Havana.
She and her husband operated Viano 's for more than 30 years, retiring in 1990.
She was a volunteer for the Fulton County Health Department.
She attended Norris United Methodist Church.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Oaks-Hines Funeral Home in Canton. Rick Atchley and the Rev. Rusty Beals will officiate. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Oak Ridge Cemetery in Farmington.
Memorials may be made to Norris United Methodist Church or to Cooperas Creek Fire Department, Norris Unit.
