Ida V. Sánchez, age 77, a resident of Belén, NM passed away on October 1, 2003.
Ida was a member of Our Lady of Belén Catholic Church and the Sacred Heart League.
Ida was a loving mother and grandmother and her loving family was her life. Ida loved camping in the mountains and enjoyed reminiscing about her mischievous childhood. Ida loved cooking for her family and friends.
Ida was preceded in death by her parents, Mr. & Mrs. Robert Velásquez, her sons, Anthony Sánchez in 1992 and Albert Sánchez and her daughter, Carolyn Kay Sánchez in 2000.
Ida is survived by her loving husband, of 62 years, Gregorio S. Sánchez, her six loving children, Mary Chávez and her husband, Pete of Los Lunas, Raymond Sánchez and his wife, Shirley of Belén, Ymelda López and her husband, Frank López Jr. of Phoenix, AZ, Debbie Rael and her husband, John of Belén, Ivy Lee and her husband, Grant of Belén and Cindy Sánchez of Belén, 14 grandchildren, and 16 great-grandchildren, brother, Robert Velásquez and his wife, Angelina of Albuquerque, sister, Trini Castillo of Barstow CA and brother-in-law, Pat Torres, of Belén.
All services will be held at Our Lady of Belén Catholic Church. Viewing will be on Friday, October 3, 2003 at 6:30 p.m. followed by a Rosary at 7:00 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday October 4, 2003 at 11:00 a.m. with Father Stephen Schultz officiating. Interment will follow at Our Lady of Belén Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be Delbert Chávez, Frank, Aaron López, Eric López, Patrick Rael, Jamie Ray Sánchez, Antonio Aragón and Dustin Chávez.
