Obituary in the Napanee Express, Tues. Sept. 26, 1922, Pg. 4, col. 3
"Frank E. VanLuven of Napanee, one of Napanee's most highly respected business men, passed away on Monday. Deceased had been seriously ill for months and was for some weeks in the Hotel Dieu, Kingston. Since his return from the hospital he had been slowly improving until a few days ago, when he became much worse. Besides his widow he leaves two daughters, Misses Helen and Elizabeth, who have the sincere sympathy of the entire community in their sad bereavement. The funeral takes place on Wednesday afternoon from his late residence, John street, to St. Mary Magdalene Church, where services will be held at 3 o'clock."

"Vanluven -- At the family residence, John street, Napanee, Franklin Elmore VanLuven, beloved husband of Elizabeth VanLuven, and dearly loved father of Helen and Elizabeth VanLuven, and only son of Mrs. Emily and the late Peter VanLuven, passed away Monday morning, September 25th, 1922. Funeral on Wednesday, at 2.30 at the house, and 3 o'clock at the church of St. Mary Magdallene."
