Ethel Vance Branson, age 93, a resident of 288 Whites Mill Road, Abingdon, VA formerly of Castlewood, VA died Thursday, September 30, 2004 in Grace Healthcare. She was born in Mitchell County, NC the daughter of the late Tillman Garfield and Elizabeth Yelton Vance. She spent most of her life in St. Paul and Castlewood, VA. She was the widow of James Everette Branson. She was preceded in death by two sons, Donald Lee Branson, and Jackie Branson, one granddaughter, Kristi Branson, and a sister, Ruby Long.

Funeral services for Ethel Vance Branson will be conducted at 8:00pm Saturday, October 2, 2004 in the Campbell Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Jerry A. Eggers officiating. Graveside services will be conducted at 2:00pm Sunday in Temple Hill Memorial Gardens. Grandchildren will serve as pallbearers.
