Early Life: Norma Lois Pritchett was born March 11, 1930, in Mt. Pleasant, Utah to John Coleman and Edith "Arvina" Monsen Pritchett. At the age of four, she was adopted and lovingly raised by her aunt and uncle, James Lewis Jensen and Mary Elizabeth Pritchett Jensen in Fairview, Utah.
Life's Work/Service/Interests: On September 15, 1948, Norma married Herald Vance of Milburn, Utah. Herald and Norma raised their family in Orem, Utah, and then returned to the Fairview area where they operated two family businesses and were actively involved in community service. Norma was a knowledgeable historian and wrote or co-authored several family and local history books. Norma was an Honorary Trustee of the Fairview Museum of History and Art. Norma Lois Pritchett Jensen Vance, of Elk Ridge, Utah, passed away on October 10, 2015. She was 85 years old.
Survived By: Her children: Suzanne (Garry) Turnbow, of Loveland, CO; Wayne (Cindi) Vance, of Lake Shore, UT; Paula Powell, of Salt Lake City, UT; eight grandchildren; five great grandchildren; and two sisters, Frances (Earl) Sorensen and Pearl May Snow.
Preceded In Death By: Her husband, Herald; her daughter, Cindy; her son, Jerry, in 1987; and her parents.
