Bernice Manley VanBeber

Mrs. Bernice Manley VanBeber, 72, of Columbus died Sunday evening at the hospital there where she had been critically ill since Friday.

She was born Oct. 3, 1884, in Wilson County and married to Harry G. VanBeber near Buffalo Nov. 16, 1904.

In 1917 they moved to Chanute where they made their home until 1929 when they moved to Columbus.

[Harry Gray] VanBeber died April 5 of this year.

Mrs. VanBeber was a member of the Methodist church.

Surviving are two sons, Henry VanBeber, R. 1, Hallowell, and Hance VanBeber, Miami; a brother, Merrill Moore, of Chanute; one grandson and two granddaughters.

The funeral service will be held at 4 p.m. Tuesday in the Jorden Funeral Home in Columbus. The Rev. Clayton Pittman, minister of the Methodist Church of Columbus, will officiate. Burial will be in the Park cemetery, Columbus.
