MRS. VALACHOVIC DIES IN HOSPITAL
Mary Valachovic, wife of Martin Valachovic, 3 Grove street, passed away at the Nathan Littauer hospital, in Gloversville, Saturday night, at 11:20. Mrs. Valachovic, who was a patient in the hospital for two days, had been ill since July, 1931.
She was 64 years of age and was born September 8, 1869, in Kutty, Czechoslovakia, the daughter of Stephen Hesek and Elizabeth Pollak Hesek. She had resided in Johnstown for 37 years.
Mrs. Valachovic was a member of Sts. Cyril and Method church and Zivena, 53.
The survivors, besides her husband, are one brother, Florian Hesek of Czechoslovakia; one sister, Mrs. Susan Ralbovsky of Czechoslovakia; three sons, Joseph, Stephen and John, all of this city; one daughter, Mrs. William Laird of this city; eight grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
The body was removed to the A. G. Cole Funeral Home to be prepared for interment The funeral will be held tomorrow afternoon at 2 at the home and at 2:30 at Sts. Cyril and Method church. Rev. J. A. Pauk of Binghamton, will officiate and interment will be made in Fern Dale cemetery.
Note: Per Roman Catholic Church records of Kuty, Slovakia, Maria Hesek was born August 30, 1869 to Stephanus Hesek and Elisabetha Pollak.
