He was born June 18, 1918 in Wabash County. On Sept. 17, 1945, he married La Verne Hasler at Mt. Carmel.
Mr. Ulm was an employee of the state highway department.
Survivors are his wife; his mother, Mrs. Mayme Baker Ulm of St. Clair, Mich.; three sons, Gary and Chuck of Noble, and Steve, at home; a sister, Mrs. Earl (Georgia) Badger of St. Clair, Mich.
He was a member of Glenwood Church, the VFW Post at Olney, American Legion Post at Noble, and the Noble Lions Club.
Services will be Saturday at 3 p.m. at the Noble Chapel of the Cardascio-Easley Funeral Home, with Rev. Earl Travis. Burial will be in Crest Haven Memorial Park Cemetery. Friends may call Friday from at the funeral home. There will be full military services at the graveside.
