Marlene Delores Doyle, 64, of McGaheysville, passed away June 23, 2011, in Harrisonburg.

Mrs. Doyle was born Feb. 8, 1947, in Alexandria, Va., and was the daughter of the late Carl P. and Faith Crump Ulbricht.

She retired from Verizon as a supervisor after 35 years of service. She was the past Queen Mother of the Red Hat Society Valley Girls of Dayton. She moved to the Valley 11 years ago from Springfield, Va.

On Jan. 23, 1965, she married John R. Doyle, who survives.

Also surviving are a daughter, Angela and husband, Drex, of Montclair, Va.; a son, Jeff, of Washington, D.C.; a sister, Diana, of Harrisonburg; granddaughter, Ashley, and stepgrandsons, Hunter, James and Josh.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday, June 28, 2011, at the Kyger Funeral Home Chapel in Harrisonburg.

Pastor Wayne Wright will conduct the service. The burial will be held privately at Eastlawn Memorial Gardens.

Following the service at the funeral home, the family will receive friends at Greenwood Lodge at Massanetta Springs Conference Center.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, or the S.P.C.A.
