Mrs. Clarice Lorraine Stephens age 96 of Twiggs Rd. Blairsville formerly of Oak Ridge, TN. passed away on Saturday February 11, 2012 at her home following an extended illness. Mrs. Stephens was born on June 12, 1915 in Atlanta, GA., the daughter of the late James W. Twiggs and the late Helen Collins Twiggs. Stephanie had lived in her beloved Choestoe Community for the past three years. She was an avid bridge player and longtime Life Master. She loved cooking, sewing and most of all she loved her family. Stephanie was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas J. Stephens in 1994, son, Thomas J. Stephens Jr. in 1995 and a grandson, Mark Stephens. Mrs. Stephens was a member of Kerns Methodist Church in Oak Ridge.
Graveside services will be held on Tuesday Feb. 14, 2012 at 2:30 pm from the Choestoe Baptist Church Cemetery. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers. She will rest next to her husband, Thomas.
