Rubie Pucci-Turpin 73 passed away suddenly at home on Oct. 26, 2010.
Rubie was born to Perena and Raffele Pucci in Murray, Utah on Sept. 3, 1937.
Married Jerry Hellewell; divorced. Married Stan Turpin; deceased.
Growing up, Rubie worked on her family farm and graduated from Olympus High School. One of her proud moments was she was crowned the Italian Day Queen. Rubie was an LPN and enjoyed the nursing field where she received her Associates at Cape Cod Community College and spent eight years in Nantucket, MA working as a nurse. She retired from UPS.
Rubie was a breast cancer survivor and a fighter to the end. Rubie loved being with her family and visiting her many friends around the country. She always enjoyed playing bridge and bingo and cooking her wonderful Italian dishes, especially for Italian Day at Lagoon and enjoyed being on the Italian-American Civic League.
She was a devout Catholic.
Rubie is survived by her five loving children, Perilee Hutchinson, Brenda Hansen, Mark Turpin, Daniele Turpin, Gregory Turpin; 11 wonderful grandchildren; and brother, Ralph Pucci.
Preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Julie Foote, Lilly Jones; and brother, Tommy Pucci.
Friends and family are invited to attend a Rosary at 5:30 p.m. and viewing from 6:00-8:00 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 1st at Jenkins-Soffe Funeral Home, 4760 S. State St.
Mass will be held Tuesday, Nov. 2nd at 11:30 am at St. Jude's Catholic Church, 4893 South Wasatch St. (250 E).
Interment: Murray City Cemetery.
