David Allen Turnidge was the sixth of nine children born to Vincent and Amanda (Pennington) Turnidge. His childhood was spent in Polk County, Oregon.


David married Hattie Lenora James on 26 April 1903 in Yamhill County, Oregon. They had four known children: Alma Viola; Edith Bonita; Velma Laree; Lester David.


Soon after his marriage, David purchased his own farm in Yamhill County, Oregon. He lived in Yamhill County, and worked his farm, his entire life.

Willamlna - Funeral services were held Thursday at the Sheridan Funeral Home for David Allen Turnidge, 73,. late of Amity. He was born In Polk County Dee 1879. Rev.

Everett Gardner was in charge of the services, and Interment was in the Willamlna Cemetery,


Survivors include his wife, Hattie, and three children. Edith Page of Vancouver, Wash.; Velma Wolfer of Portland and Lester Turnidge of Sheridan.
