MRS. W. D. BARNETT
MARIETTA -- Mrs. Lissie Turner Barnett, 78, of Rt. 1, River Road, Marietta, widow of William Dexter Barnett, died Sunday.
Born in Greenville County, daughter of the late Simon A. and Hattie Stewart Turner, she was a member of North Fork Baptist Church.
Surviving are a son, R.Q. Barnett of Marietta; three daughters, Mrs. Helen Heatherley of Greenville, Mrs. Isadora Adams of Mt. Holly, N.C. and Mrs. Evie Nora Slatton of Travelers Rest; a brother, Fred Turner of Travelers Rest; three sisters, Mrs. Iles Howard, Mrs. Winnie Belle Lindsey and Mrs. Geneva Allen of Travelers Rest; a half-sister, Mrs. Essie Lewis of Marietta; 24 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be Tuesday at 2 p.m. at North Fork Baptist Church, with burial in the Church cemetery.
The body is at O'Dell-Howze Mortuary, Travelers Rest, where the family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Monday, and will be placed in the Church at 1 p.m. Tuesday.
The family is at the home of R.Q. Barnett, Rt. 1, River Road, Marietta.
