She attended Barnes High School and was the former owner of Mildred’s Hair Salon. She was a member of Doty Springs Baptist Church.
Survivors include her daughter, Judith Kemp Alderman and husband, Billy of Kosciusko; sons, Jimmy Arden Kemp and wife, Donna of Meridian and Jan Turner Kemp and wife, Angie of Bebe, AR; step-daughter, Rebecca Cummins Whittington and husband, Wendell of Ethel; six grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and sisters, Ira Turner Farmer of Folson, CA and Sandra Turner Miller of Kosciusko.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James E. Cummins; daughter, Shirley Ann Kemp Miller; and her parents, Lester and Ruby Pearl Kelly Turner.
Pallbearers are Kemp Alderman, Ty Alderman, Kelly Alderman, Corey Kemp, Brian Rone, and Ronnie Lockett.
