*Luna Tullis Bell was the female friend of John H. Patterson, and was sharing living accommodations with him at the time of his death. He was struck by a train while in a car outside of Cherryvale, Kansas July 22, 1921. See a copy of the Daily Republican newspaper of Cherryvale for an account of the accident and the report of his living with his "sister" at the time of the accident. Mr. Patterson never had a sister named Luna. Mr. Patterson is a great uncle of mine. He is a brother of my great grandfather, Isaac Patterson. The placement of the stone with the title of Mother on Ms. Tullis-Bell's stone seems to indicate a more legal relationship to Mr. Patterson than was actually the case. per Jan Kimbrell (#47642877) 03/26/2016
