A modernist Architect who helped to change the landscape of downtown Memphis, Jack Tucker's first project, the Timpani Building, transformed a former cotton warehouse into condominiums and office space. Tucker helped to transform Mud Island, Charlie Vergo's Rendezvous, and the Memphis Convention U Visitors Bureau, to name only a few. Tucker designed the Lord's Chapel at Elmwood, and his ashes are interred in the Stokes Columbarium just outside the building on the east.
