Mary ``Nan'' McElrath Tucker died Monday, Nov. 2, 1998.

She was a member of Aldersgate United Methodist Church, American Guild of Organist and a native of Aiken, S.C. She was co-owner of Micro Age Computer Stores and Big Dipper Ice Cream Shop of Nags Head.

Mrs. Tucker is survived by her husband, Thomas E. Tucker; a son, Michael W. Tucker of Charlotte, N.C.; a daughter, Rebecca T. Riggins and her husband, the Rev. George S. Riggins III, of Pamplin, Va.; three sisters, Carolyn M. McLendon of Columbia, S.C., Martha M. Moore of Bristol, Tenn., and Florence M. Warwick of Mobjac, Va.; and four grandchildren, Emily, Rachel, Hannah and Christopher.

A funeral will be held at 3 p.m. Wednesday in Aldersgate United Methodist Church by the Rev. Robert F. Cofield Jr. with burial in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens Mausoleum. The family will receive friends today from 7 to 8 p.m. in Loving Funeral Home, Churchland Chapel. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to Aldersgate United Methodist Church Music Ministry or to Bon Secour's Hospice Program.
