GRETNA - Clella Tuck Cook, age 93, of Gretna, died Saturday, July 5, 2008 at Lynchburg General Hospital.
Born January 26, 1915 in Franklin County, she was a daughter of the late Gideon Overby (Osby) Tuck and Rosa Quarles Tuck. She was predeceased by her husband, William Casper Cook, four brothers, Walter Tuck, Herman Tuck, Hylton Tuck and James Tuck; five sisters, Earla Cook, Beatrice Cook, Sally Cook, Gladys Owen and Beulah Goggins. Mrs. Cook was a home maker who enjoyed taking bus trips. She was a member of Museville Christian Church.
She survived by four sons and daughters-in-law, Wayne and Margaret Cook of Gretna, Obie and Geraldine Cook of Hurt, W.C. and Barbara Cook of Gretna and Troy and Wanda Cook of Penhook; one daughter and son-in-law, Charlotte and R.E. Rowland of Gretna; one brother, Buford Tuck of Danville; 7 grandchildren; 5 step-grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren, 11 step-great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild.
Graveside services will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Monday, July 7, 2008 at Liberty Memorial Cemetery by Rusty Owens, Minister and Brian Ashworth.
The family will receive friends 7 to 8:30 p.m. Sunday at Colbert-Moran Funeral Home and other times will be at the residence of her daughter, Charlotte Rowland, 4060 Blue Ridge Drive, Gretna.
