June 8, 2004, Harry R. Trumble, age 89, of 1682 State Route 13, Altmar, died Tuesday at St. Luke's Nursing Home in Oswego. He was born September 27, 1914 in Altmar. The son of William S. and Harriett M. Waite Trumble, he was a life resident of Altmar. He attended Burdick District schools and, and married Norma Thompson on May 2, 1947. He was employed by the NYS Department of Conservation for 26 years, retiring in 1980. He was also employed by NY Central Railroad and Niagara Mohawk, and the Town of Albion Animal Control, and he was a member of the NYS Trapper's association.
Surviving are his wife Norma E., one son Paul Trumble of Redfield, one daughter Irene Pappa of Pulaski, and one sister Gladys Trumble of Altmar. Nine grandchildren, nine great grandchildren, and one great great granddaughter.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at Foster-Hax Funeral Home, 52 Park Street, Pulaski, with Pastor Paul Anderson officiating. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery, Altmar. Calling hours will be held from 5-7 p.m. on Thursday at the funeral home.
