Dora A. Downing, 75, of 23 Court St., Auburn, a native of the town of Albion, died Friday at Auburn Memorial Hospital.

Born Jan. 21, 1922, a daughter of Charles and Beulah Waite Trumble, she lived in Altmar before moving to Auburn in 1977. She attended Altmar Union School.

Two husbands, Sidney Shaw and John Downing, died before her.

Surviving are three daughters, Sandra L. Tillotson, Moravia, and Carol M. Laning and Louise C. Downing, both of Watertown; two stepsons, Gail and Gary Downing, both of Carthage; two stepdaughters, Marlene and Linda Downing, both of Carthage; a brother, Ivan Trumble, Williamstown; two sisters, June Stowell and Fannie Draper, both of Altmar; 14 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

A daughter, Diane Downing, died in 1969.

The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Foster-Hax Funeral Home, Pulaski. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery, Altmar.

A calling hour will begin at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
