Adelina "Addie" C. Chene, age 96 of Rio Rancho, passed away on Tuesday March 26, 2013. Adelina was born in Taos, New Mexico on April 26, 1916 to the late Maximiliano and Ignacita Trujillo. Adelina grew up in Dawson, New Mexico. Adelina was a parochial school teacher at St. Therese for 20 years and was a current member of many Catholic Third Orders including the Third Order of the Blessed Sacrament, she was a current member of St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Parish in Rio Rancho. Adelina was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, Robert M. Chene Sr. and her brothers, Abraham Trujillo, Sam Trujillo and Albert Trujillo. Adelina is survived by her daughter, Judy Chene, son, Roberto "Bobby" Chene and his wife, Connie, grandchildren, Ana Chene and David Chene, sister-in-law, Lois Trujillo of Virginia and numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation with the Chene family will be held from 6:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. with the rosary service to follow on Tuesday April 2, 2013 at Salazar and Sons Mortuary. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday, April 3, 2013 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 619 Copper Ave. NW with Fr. Fernando Rubio-Boitel Celebrant. Interment will follow at Mount Calvary Cemetery.
