Alamosa resident Maria Estella "Stella" Trujillo, 82, passed away April 23, 2011 at the San Luis Care Center surrounded by her loving family.

Stella was born on April 13, 1929 in Moreno, New Mexico, the daughter of Henry Trujillo and Charlotte Roybal Trujillo. Stella was a loving dedicated mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great-grandmother and sister who enjoyed cooking, singing, and spending time with her family.

Survivors include her daughters Linda Medina and Ellen Brown both of Alamosa, Colo.; Patsy (Dennis) Medina of San Luis, Colo.; Carlene Taylor of Crestview, Fla.; Bernadette (Eugene) Cisneros of Ft. Garland, Colo.; Lynn Brown (Joe Sandoval) of Alamosa, Colo.; sons Christopher (Rosie) Brown of Wheatridge, Colo.; Michael (Anna Belle) Brown of Lubbock, Texas; Stevie Brown of Alamosa, Colo.; Anthony (Rose) Brown of Mosca, Colo.; Henry Brown (Amy Tyrell) of Superior, Colo.; 26 grandchildren, 40 great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren and one brother Albert Trujillo of Salt Lake City, Utah. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Stella was preceded in death by her parents, husband Antonio Brown, five sisters Adeline, Angie, Irma, Mary Lou and Jenny, and three brothers George, Jake and Roger, one grandson Robert Hernandez Jr., and one great-granddaughter Jazmine Hernandez.

A Prayer Service will be held on Wednesday, April 27, 2011 at 11 a.m. at the River of Life Assembly of God Church in Alamosa. Interment will follow at the Alamosa Cemetery. Arrangements are in care of Romero Funeral Home of Alamosa.
