Delores E. Barton, 76, of St. Marys and formerly of Van Wert, died at 2:35 p.m. Monday, February 8, 2010, at Joint Township District Memorial Hospital in St. Marys.
She was born September 23, 1933, in Montrose, S.D., the daughter of the late Roy and Nettie (Figert) Truex. On October 10, 1955, she married Kenneth L. Barton, who preceded her in death on September 28, 1990.
Survivors include two children, Brad (Anita) Barton of St. Marys and Barb Barton of Van Wert; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Two brothers, Robert and Myron Truex, and a sister, Ruth Larson, also preceded her in death.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday, February 12, at Alspach-Gearhart Funeral Home & Crematory in Van Wert, with the Rev. Tim Burden officiating. Burial will be in Woodland Cemetery in Van Wert.
The family will receive friends from noon-2 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
