Kenneth Dwayne True, 64, of Liberty, passed away Sunday, April 3, 2016, at the Kingwood Medical Center in Kingwood.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, April 9, 2016, at the Pace-Stancil Funeral Home Chapel with burial following at Farley Chapel Cemetery in Shepherd. Visitation will be held from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m., Friday, at the funeral home. Services are under the direction of Pace-Stancil Funeral Home in Dayton.

Kenneth was born June 27, 1951 in Pasadena, to parents; Aaron Joseph and Bonnie Hues True, a former resident of Channelview, and has resided in Liberty for the past 23 years. He was a veteran of the US Navy with service during Vietnam, a mechanic, and a member of the Lavaca Creek Hunting Club. He also enjoyed hunting, fishing, the outdoors, wood working, machining, leatherwork, and knife making. Kenneth will be remembered as an exceptional father and soulmate to his wife.

Kenneth was preceded in death by his parents: Aaron and Bonnie Hues True of Shepherd. He is survived by his wife of 35 years: Melody Edwards True, sons: Jason Edward True of Rockport and Brandon Aaron True and fiancé Kalyn King of Liberty, brother: David True and wife Gabriela of Katy, sister: Patricia Barron and husband Doug of Mt. Belvieu, numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
