Mrs. Grace Ann Trapp Baker, age 49 formerly of Wake County departed this life on July 15, 2010 in Texas.

Arrangements will be announced by William Toney's Funeral Home, Zebulon.

On July 15, 2010, God stopped to pick a very precious flower from His garden- Her name was Grace Ann Trapp Baker (better known as "Grace Ann"). Grace Ann was born February 13, 1961 in Wake County. She was educated in the Wake County Public School System at Carver Elementary School in Wendell, NC, Wendell Elementary School, and graduated from Vaiden Whitley High School in Wendell, NC. She joined Pleasant Grove Baptist Church in Wendell as a young child where she sang in the children's choir and learned to live and love through God's word. As a young adult, Gracie Ann met and married Christopher D. Baker and to this union two sons were born, Baron and Cedric. She was a devoted wife, mother and entrepreneur. She had joy and love in her heart for her children and every small child she encountered. Her smile and love for life sowed a seed of joy in everyone whose life she touched.

Survivors: husband, Christopher Baker of Fort Worth, Texas;sons, Baron and Cedric of the home; her mother, Betty Ann Parks (Noris) of Wendell; her father, Leo Trapp (Mary) of Wendell; brothers, Gregory Trapp (Ericka) of Garner, Billy Trapp of Raleigh, Dallas and Shawn Trapp of Wendell, Reginald Poteat of Burlington; sisters, Bertha Todd (Jesse Wayne) of Zebulon, Felicia Trapp of Durham, Omega Poteat of Burlington and Cynthia Branch (Julius) of Raleigh, Tracy, Patricia and Kanvis Trapp of Wendell; grandmother, Gracie Trapp of Wilson; special niece, Temika Hunter (Clinton) of Wendell; 3 grandchildren; a host of aunts, an uncle, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, July 23, 2010 at 1:00PM at the Pleasant Grove Baptist Church in Wendell. Burial, Gethsemane Memorial Gardens, Zebulon. Visitation 6-8PM Thursday, William Toney's Funeral Home, Zebulon and at the Church on Friday from 12-1:00PM prior to services
