A lifelong resident of the Prairie Township - Sharpsville area and one of the county's oldest citizens, Mrs. Dora B. Adams, 96, died at 11:45 p.m. Sunday at the Pleasant Rest Nursing Home in Kokomo, after an illness of two years.
Funeral services will be Wednesday at 2 p. m. at the Warner Funeral Home in Sharpsville. In charge will be the Rev. Fanny
Gentry of Greentown and Mrs. Bertha Kistler, pastor of Mt.
Lebanon Friends church, which the deceased attended. Friends may call at the funeral home after noon Tuesday.
Seventy-four direct decendents of the deceased include three
children, 40 grandchildren, 21 great-grandehildren, and 10
Dora B. Townsend was born March 21, 1886 in Prairie township,
the daughter of William and Margaret (Bennett) Townsend.
She attended the old Bennett school in Prairie township.
She was married in 1885 to John R. Adams, who passed away
Surviving children are Dr. Oral D. Adams of Tipton, and
Clarence Adams and Mrs. Goldie Shuck, of Sharpsville.
