Marcella was born on April 3, 1937 in Socorro to Miguel Torres and Rufina Gonzáles.
As a child care provider for many years, an important part of Marcella's life was the devotion and attention she gave to the children in her care. Marcella truly loved them and developed a lasting attachment to them and their families. Marcella was a devoted Catholic and loved the Holy Mother and praying the rosary.
Marcella was also known as a generous person who enjoyed spending time with her numerous friends and family members and she will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Marcella was preceded in death by her parents, Miguel and Rufina and brother, Abelino Torres.
Marcella is survived by her husband, Pete Archuleta, daughters, Donna Lassey and Dorothy Davis and her husband, Stan, her cat and special companion, Bogo, son, Eric Archuleta, two grandchildren, Matthew Lassey and Julie Ontiveros and her husband, Jorge, great-grandson, Cole Ontiveros, great-granddaughter, Stella Ontiveros, brother, Gene Torres and his wife, Joanne, her close friends, Lora Padilla and Lolo Madrid, as well as many other relatives. The Holy Rosary to be recited on Friday, August 5, 2016 at 8:30 a.m. at San Miguel Catholic Church, 403 El Camino Real, Socorro, New Mexico with Mass of Resurrection to follow at 9:00 a.m. Celebrant Father John Anasiudu. Burial will take place at San Miguel Catholic Cemetery following service. Pallbearer will be Eric Archuleta.
