JULY 15 – Lurline "Polly" Torrence Ayers 95, of Farmville, passed away at her residence Sunday, July 11, 2010. She was the widow of Andrew J. Ayers. She was also preceded in death by her parents, Charles E. Torrence and Maggie Barton Torrence.
She is survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Ms. Ayers was retired from the American Tobacco Company, and a member of Concord Baptist Church.
Funeral services were conducted Thursday, July 15, in the Chapel of Shorter Funeral Home with interment in Trinity Memorial Gardens, Rice.
