Allen Evan Toon, beloved father and grandfather, passed away peacefully in his home on Friday, December 16, 2016 after a long fight with cancer. He was 70 years old. He spent the first 4 years of his professional life in the Navy, and finished his career in the California State Legislature. He had a love of learning, gardening, and tennis. He was a kind, fair minded, intelligent man, traits that he instilled in his two children, Aric Michael and Rebekah Charis. He is survived by Sally Toon, mother of his children, son Aric and daughter Rebekah, four grandchildren, Aaron Patrick, Emrys Patrick, Harrison Blake, and Madeline Evan, named for her grandfather, along with his siblings Richard Toon, Diana Toon, Karen Toon, and Carole Pauls.
His ashes will be spread in the Roaring River in Oregon, per his request, by his family.
