Obit: Mrs. Daisy May Ambers, 89, of 459 Pratt Street, Frankfort, died at 9:05 o'clock Tuesday night at the Clinton County Hospital. She had been ill for five days.
Mrs. Ambers was born in Boone County on June 8, 1882, to John Adrian and Indiana Jane Pruitt Toney.
She also had lived in Huntington for a time. She was a member of the United Methodist Church.
Her first husband, George Higer, preceded her in death. They were married in 1898. Her second husband, James Robert Ambers, to whom she was married in 1909, died in January 1952.
Mrs Ambers is survived by two sons, Vern Higer of Kirklin and Orville A. Ambers of Lafayette; one daughter, Mrs. Bonnie Everman of Frankfort; 16 grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, and five great-great-grandchildren. A son, a daughter, four brothers and one sister preceded her in death.
Funeral services for Mrs. Ambers will be held at 2 o'clock Friday afternoon at the Eller Funeral Home. Rev. Lewis G. Smith will officiate and burial will be in the Oak Hill Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home after 2 o'clock Thursday afternoon.
