Faulkville - Bloomingdale - Sarah Tison Durrell, An Angel, 70, passed away, peacefully on Saturday, March 25, 2006 at her residence surrounded by her family and friends.
Mrs. Durrell was born on December 10, 1935 to the late Edward H. and Pearl Rae (Meeker) Tison.
She retired as a legal secretary with Attorney Murray A. Galin and was the former owner of R-Own Printing and B.D. Printing and Tee's. She enjoyed her family, shopping, darts and Braves baseball.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Durrell was preceded in death by her husband, George W. (Buddy) Durrell, her brother, Tom Tison, and her sister Ruth Helms.
She is survived by her son, G. W. (Bill) Durrell III and his wife Sharon, and her daughter, Connie Boyett and her husband Bennie, both of Faulkville - Bloomingdale ; her grandchildren, Dawn (Steven) Bray, Renee' (Russell) Wilson, Billy Durrell, Alexandria (Justin Hall) Dean, Courteney (Jason) Beasley, Amanda Boyett, and Stephanie Boyett and 10 Great-Grand children. Sarah and her family had also adopted a grandson, Robert (Bobby) Shurling, and his wife Tami. She was also survived by two brothers, Jack (Hazel) Tison of Bonifay, FL and Harry (Ann) Tison of Port St. Joe, FL; two sisters, Etha (Tom) Connor of Adelphi, MD and Nell Ridens of Desdemona, TX and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held at Fairhaven Funeral Home and Crematory on Sunday from 7-9 PM.
Funeral services will be held at the funeral home on Monday at 11 a.m. with Reverend Eddie Dees officiating.
Burial will be in Gravel Hill Cemetery .
In lieu of flowers, Memorials may be made to Hospice of Savannah PO Box 13190 Savannah, GA 31416.
